Artist of the day: Kirstie Williams

We’re going to give you a peek at what’s coming up at the Leeds Print Fair. We’ll try and post one a day (please forgive us if we miss the odd day!)

First up is Kirstie Williams who describes herself as a designer, maker and printer:

Colour Shape and Pattern

Kirstie says, “I explore printmaking through a range of processes, both paper based and textile based. I take inspiration from 1950s textiles and pattern, creating bold geometric prints. I particularly like to explore how analogic colours sit with accents on the page, evoking different moods and feelings. Sustainability plays a strong role in my design process and I explore Slow Design philosophies through making, emphasizing slowness in the creation and consumption of products to instill quality and foster traditions.”
